These were the three words I could not wait to hear after having my first child. I sat in the office in a body I did not associate myself with: empty squishy tummy, the kankles that never left, still in maternity clothes, bags under my eyes, and exhausted. Hello Summer......Goodbye Fitness.......
The last day of school a few weeks ago was a scary thought for me. I thought my precious me-time to focus 100% on my business, my clients, and my workouts goes out the window and I am sent into this balancing-tight-rope-walk. My “free” time is condensed to the predictable 2 hour nap time window to get my clients programs written, marketing, blogging, etc. Oh, do not forget the constant house chores! I look in the mirror and I feel I failed you. I look back at the pictures of victory in the athletic arena. I scrutinize over my many choices that could have been better since that time. Maybe I could have abstained from that decadent dish while dining out, or pushed myself a little harder in a prenatal workout, or chosen to workout rather than sleep in my delirious state of being a new parent to get back to you.
